Community Information about Silver Springs

Silver Springs is a beautifully treed, mature community in Northwest Calgary, and has mostly detached homes with prices ranging from $455,000 up to $1,400,000 (2022). There are also several townhouse condo complexes and semi detached homes around Nose Hill Drive and Silver Springs Gate areas.

Location: North of the Bow River (accessible through Bowmont Park), South of Crowchild, East of Nose Hill Drive with easy access to the Mountains.

Shopping: there are 2 small commercial areas within Silver Springs that include a fitness centre, convenience store, gas station, pub, cafe, and a Shoppers Drug Mart. Crowfoot Crossing is on the other side of Crowchild Trail, anchored by Safeway, Co-op, Rona and a Cineplex Theatre, and has a host of services for banking, retail and medical needs as well.  

Recreation: Bowmont Natural Environment Park is on the South end of Silver Springs (walking/cycling paths, fly fishing, off leash dog areas, picnic spots), the Silver Springs Community Association (hosts BBQs, family movie nights, has a pool, skating rinks, and a bike pump track), Silver Springs Golf and Country Club (located in Varsity).

Schools: Silver Springs Elementary School, W.O. Mitchell School and St. Sylvester Elementary are in Silver Springs, with Thomas B. Riley School, Arbour Lake School, Bowness High School and Ranchlands Schools nearby.

Transit: Crowfoot and Dalhousie LRT, with buses servicing both stations throughout the community.
